Video Sharing Site

Hey guys, I was wondering If anyone here knew how to make a video sharing site (YouTube clone) for free? I'm thinking of investing +$200 on a software but before I do that I wanted to ask here to see if any of you have any experience with this so I wouldn't have to pay for a software and whatnot. Thanks.

Are you talking about using HTTrack? It's better to only use that for a small website.

There are plenty of applications to do that, such as http://www.phpmotion.com/ however, coding a service like that takes time, and you should probably host your videos on AWS or something similar, therefore, if you end choosing this way it's in my opinion going to cost you more.

For example, you hire a developer to code it for you, he expects you to pay him $10/hourly rate, and a good looking - working- video sharing site isn't going to be coded in less than 10 hours, then you've to setup the application and blablabla.

Why bother.
The only streaming site that gets similar hits to YouTube is pornhub.

Thanks for all your help. And the reason I want to do this is because I have high expectations for this site. It's going to be a video sharing site for a specific subject not general videos. And I'm sure there's a fan base possible for this.
