Alrighty, so many of you know this Tuesday will be Veterans Day here in America where we take a day to celebrate the men and women who volunteer to go overseas and fight to defend and uphold the constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic. Let me start off first by saying, both my grandfathers served in WW2, one as a medic in the Army and the other was in the Marines. I also have a cousin who served in Iraq for 9 years on the front line in the Army, my cousin now suffers from PTSD heavily. War is quite a horrible thing, and if i had to go on the defense side of defending veterans who served in our military this government treats them like absolute scum when they return. Take for instance the latest broken up scandals at the VA ( Department of Veterans Affairs) the article will be below; "The top watchdog for the Veterans Affairs Department said Tuesday that it appears that the majority of the 93 VA facilities now under investigation were intentionally manipulating data, which could lead to a fresh round of drama for the embattled agency". Basically stating Vets were put on 300 days at times waiting lists and VA employees were manipulating data to say Vets had gotten care when in fact they hadn't to save on the VA's budget. Many Veterans due to lack of care had been taking their own lives, or suffering or dying due to no care as they were promised. Now even thought i dont support war or fighting for ones country, im coming from the point of view for those who are suffering from the traumatic horrors of war, and the joke of care they are receiving.

As Noam Chomsky once said; "The point of public relations slogans like “Support our troops” is that they don’t mean anything… That’s the whole point of good propaganda. You want to create a slogan that nobody’s going to be against, and everybody’s going to be for. Nobody knows what it means, because it doesn’t mean anything. Its crucial value is that it diverts your attention from a question that does mean something: Do you support our policy? That’s the one you’re not allowed to talk about."
