V1 Gamertags not getting reset anymore?

I heard that Microsoft won't be releasing and V1 gamertags since they found out people are reselling them on eBay and other websites. Does anyone know if this is true? The Gamertag I've been waiting for was suppose to reset last month but its still inactive.
 

They don't have reset dates. It's TOTALLY random. Just keep trying!
 
They will still be reseting them if they aren't active for 7 years or longer. But they most likely won't be doing a big reset like last year.
 
I have been waiting for a tag to reset since January. Has been inactive for 7 years. I am still waiting. Everyday I check it..

Sorry bro, i'm not saying anything until it gets reset.. Only because i have been checking it for the last 4 months. Ill tell you when it resets though man.

I have a few i am waiting for though. One in particular, and a few others. The one i'm waiting for is 6 letters.
 
When the reset does happen I will be one lucky man I got a few of the best spaced tags saved up
 
I was lucky enough to get Maximum and Fault a couple of months ago from them getting reset
 
I have never been lucky enough to get a tag when it was reset.

Have one tag i check everyday though

If a tag has been inactive for 7 years then it can be reset any day after 7 years.
 
still reseting them but no one knows when. they reset them after 7 years of inactivity at a random time.
 
Alright, but since that account holding the tag is not on xbox, how do you know it passed 7 years! I wanna hold on but I need help see if its good to start holding now !

You can look at its recent activity on xbox.com or go to the bungie site and look.

the thing is you do not know when the tag is 7 years inactive because the WLID couls still be active without the gt being active. I know that quad resets in february though
 
Its actually nine years, because I called microsoft and asked when there next V1 reset would be and she said there is this program that resets accounts when they're not active for nine years.

thats a lie it is 7 years just like deleted tags, I am pretty sure considering me and outcast read the manual from his training CCF
