Usernames with "*"s?

I've seen a lot of people with usernames like "Order*" I'm curious of what this means or if its just a add-on you can use.
 
I have no idea, I've seen it aswell, maybe @Krish might know.
 
the asterisk next to their name means that they opted to have their username hidden from who's online lists, but I don't think this feature is a thing anymore

This feature still exists, however, all users are visible if you are an upgraded user. Non-upgraded users cannot see your username listed if you have the setting enabled.

Lol yeah I use to see that on other forums as well but now I know why.
