Does anyone know how to make the shapes like on this userbar
Infinites.png

Obviously I know how to use the shape tool but I would like to get a similar result to the shapes used on Infinites userbar.

Pentool, or rectangle marquee would be your best bet

EDIT : PM me if you need me to teach ya

Lol I know @Difficult does ask him he is boss at it :)

You'd be able to find tutorials online. But there's really no need. The concept is extremely simple, you should just experiment. That's how you learn.

@Astro thanks for the reply.

I'm more curious on what tool to use so I could experiment with different shapes and sizes.

I did a rough 20 second sketch of it on paper before I started.
You should only need the pentool to get all of your geometry done. The rest is up to you.

^ This.
For your best, most creative work, you'll often find artists sketch by hand first, then pentool it in PS after.

That userbar is made purely from the pentool excluding the text. Make a shape with the pentool, fill it in with black(or whatever color), then add a layer style to it. Most common ones that look like that style or ones including:

Inner Shadow - White - 1,0,0 - 75%
Inner Glow - White - Overlay/Soft light - x,x,x - x%
Drop Shadow - Black - 1,0,0 - 100%
Outer Glow - Black - Normal - x,x,x - x%
