UPS or Fedex?

I've been using Fedex for quite a long time now to ship from all my online sales, and I have had no complaints at all with them, there service and pricing is excellent but, A lot of major retailers are using UPS and I was wondering are they better?

I currently have discounted rates through both the carriers and the prices are similar on ground service, usually FedEx beats them on the Next Day.

Which service do you think is better in your opinion? I would like to see some of your feedback from both a sender and receiver perspective.

UPS all the way!
Great service and great UPS stores. I never had any issues with them, sometimes cost might be a bit too high though. The first time I used UPS I was very much impressed that they sent a package half way around the world in one night.

I actually prefer Fedex for mostly the reasons you stated, but mostly for their rates. I've never tried USPS though.

I never mentioned USPS in here? haha but I do use them for international since their prices are hard to beat.

*UPS
I'm sorry, my bad. Typo. I get those 2 mixed up all the time.mg:

I prefer UPS as I usually find it to be cheaper and faster, if the package gets here unharmed that is. I heard somewhere that UPS has more broken packages than fed ex.

I used to say FedEx because they delivered earlier in the day than UPS at the last 3 houses I lived at. However, at my current place, UPS tends to deliver nice and early which is good for those of us that believe every time we orders something and it is delivered it seems like Christmas hehe.

I can't necessarily say I agree that UPS takes better care of their packages because I have worked for them before and when they load stuff into containers, it is tossed and thrown etc... But I still choose them over FedEx.

Ya I'm sure they get thrown around all over in the factories... They just dont tell you.. I mean I bet half the time the company their ordering from dont break the parts the shipping company does. And thats why some of the company's are starting to stop supporting broken parts through online orders.

Even the fragile ones get thrown dude. I'm sure of it.

I was reading the UPS manual of rates and like how to package thing and it says pack items well becasue they don't regard any things on the boxes such as fragile or similar indicators.

It depends on where you live for me UPS and fedex all ways delievers late...
I like UPS tracking system though but it is up to you.

I like Fedex because of the arrow it makes between the "e and x".
Most of the time you can only see it in their logos / on trucks etc.
