Let's say I called this account in that got scammed from me. Microsoft got it back, but they permabanned it. (*Note* I am not the OG owner but I've owned it for a while.) If I file a UA, will they unban it for me? I have possession of the account and the scammer downloaded it on his console and played on it.

Will they unban it?

Even if it was banned due to unauthorized access? The support dude said they could lol.
 
LIke @THrowback said no. Perm banned accounts can't be unbanned at this moment.
 
Support especially can't do shit. They have absolutely no power in this situation. The only people who can unban accounts are the Enforcement team.
 
Half of the reps for Xbox are missing part of they're brain. Call them, ask them can you sell a gamertag, they'll say just try not to get scammed.

You will not get your account unbanned.

Yeah they said the enforcement team will look at it. Oh well.
 
LMK how it goes. I'm 100% certain that it won't happen. The reps are stupid. Only Tier 3 & the hardware department have some intelligence.

Any suspension can be reversed but rarely does it happen.


If your account was hijacked from you, call Xbox support and have them start a investigation. If they find that your account was indeed stolen from you, then your account MAY be returned to you.
 

Exactly, suspension. Temp ban. Not a permanent ban. Good bye.
