Turbo on gamertags could it be stopped/prevented?

OK, since so many tags are being stolen lately ive been thinking on ways we can prevent this here are some of them.

1. Make a requirement for the Gamertag section, e.g 300 posts 50 positive rep ect.

2. Install the hide tags plugin so you may hide your Gamertag from users unless they reply you hide it by using
You must reply before you can see the hidden data contained here.
3. Make it so only upgraded members can see tags.

That's all i have so far im sure there is a ton of more stuff we can do.

What do you think about this?
 
Don't be a dumb-witted idiot.

1. Why? Many members join JUST for the tag section.
2. That'd just create useless spam. "hi can i see this tag thnx"
3. As I said before, many new members join JUST for the tag section.

Yes which is why so many tags get stolen, people should join here because they want too not join to see a tag they can steal. and for the spam atleast you can see who knows the tag and investigate.
 
I think that we should still have the regular gamertag section, but for upgraded members we should get a premium gamertag section with possible post and rep requirements.

I agree with you. Some private gamertag section should be implemented. That's a great idea.

I suggested this like 2 months ago. It was never implemented. Philly said he doesn't want a junior HF.

Well if so he would rather have a forumkorner look like some "scammingbay" like if you put your tag here you will get it stolen.

Anyway he may like "Nite's" idea because i do.

Have faith they can be stopped with the right methods.
 
I think its good that people are starting to think of possible solutions, however I feel that most of the people with the HQ turboing programs are the same people that are considered to be HQ members, if you feel me.

Well with the right methods we can find out these HQ members who are thieving Gamertags from other users and we can take appropriate actions against them.
 
TBH, this could be pointless noone knows whos turboing the tags, for all we know
It can be of the HQ members on here. The other negative is that people join just for
the tags, so that would make us less popular I guess you can say.
 
Most of the people that know how to turbo are actually known here. Needless to say the site's growth would go way down, and there would be less tags and buyers in the market.
If you don't want your gamertag getting claimed by someone else maybe you shouldn't change it and leave it claimable for anyone.

Maybe members should stop being dumbasses and have some patience instead of swapping within the first hour like a fucking retard. Did you ever think of that? That's my best idea.

How? An upgraded member could just turbo a tag and not tell anyone.

Its simple say we had the hide tags implanted we would narrow down which upgraded users are turboing tags.
