Trust or Respect?

I'm just wondering, would you guys rather be extremely trusted or widely respected. I'm not referring to only online, but in all aspects of life. I choose trust.

I'd have to go with trust too, respect doesn't mean much now a days

Trust is where it's at, I'd rather be highly trusted, as respect is one of those things that can be bought and asked for, but trust is something you must build with hard work, and time. Trust is something that defines who your friends are.

i'd rather be respected than trusted. Dont get me wrong, trust is wonderful and all but we live in a dog-eat-dog world, a place in which values and ethics mean nothing.
