Told the girl I like how I felt about her today. Do you guys think I did well?

So I'm not really a shy person. I told her over FB I wanted to talk to her tomorrow (which was today). And I told her this morning to find like some extra time at the end of the day because I wanted to talk to her. And so I saw her after school studying so I went there. Our teacher had to leave but before we were all having casual convo.

When the teacher left I said, "So I was asking to talk to you earlier, do you have the time now?" And she said yes (most likely knew I was going to ask).

I looked around and said, "So we've been talking for a few weeks and I've developed a crush on you." And she just smiled and put her head down like shy as anything. Right away I said, "I don't expect you to say anything, but I just wanted you to know." And she put her head up and such and said she kind of had a feeling I was going to tell her. She said she feels bad because she goes to college at the end of summer (was she implying something?) Anyways, I didn't ask. But I just said, "No don't feel bad. I don't expect you to. I don't like to keep things on my mind. I'm just letting you know how I feel. I don't want anything to change." Etc... then she just kind of nodded and I said "So we're good?" And she just smiled and I shook her hand (like a gentleman of course) then sat down and started talking with her for about an hour until she had to leave.

What do you guys think about the situation?
