I'm going to be starting both of these shows soon, did you guys like them?
I've had Tokyo Ghoul recommended to me plenty of times, and I've heard a lot of good things about Hunter X Hunter.

I haven't watched anime for a while, and I want to get back into it and see some good shows.
If you can recommend some good shows to me, I'd be glad

For genre reference, I've watched and enjoyed SAO, SAO II, First 30 Episodes of One Piece, very little Naruto, and Death Note.
 
Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, Bagukan, Beyblade are all great shows.

On a serious note, just open up that little spoiler in my sig and choose any anime that sounds interesting to you.

I enjoyed Tokyo Ghoul and Hunter x Hunter a lot.

Watch Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul rootA. Both excellent shows, as for Hunter X Hunter I have no idea. I haven't seen too much Anime besides what's on my MAL.
 
I suggest Hunter x Hunter! It has 148 eps but it's sick! 
 
Tokyo Ghoul I highly recommend, as for Hunter X Hunter I've never seen it before.
 
Hunter x Hunter it's one of the bests animes i ever seen... I love the story, the effects, the "gore" (not really gore, but so blood) times... Fully recommended!
