To those of you looking to join a group...

I'm sure I'm not the only group leader annoyed by people posting these stupid threads about them looking to join a usergroup.

If you want to join one, find the group you're looking to join then see if there's a recruitment thread. If there is, apply. If not, try to find an information thread or send the leader(s) a PM about how to join or if it could be possible to join.

They will review your application and decide whether or not you are to be accepted, just because they don't reply to your app doesn't mean they didn't see it either. You're most likely denied if nobody sends you a PM / replies to your post, so don't bother the leaders after you've responded.

Those are the ones that were dead in the first place, which is exactly why they were being sold.

Every group is active when it's first bought. Just think though. If a person with one group can't keep it active, how do you think a person with multiple groups will keep them active?
