I have yet to see an actual group that works AS A FUCKING GROUP. The reason groups are so unsuccessful is not because there are so many of them, it's because there isn't a single one worth a shit.
Show me one that actually supports each other, other than post bumping and sucking each other off. Get some actual group activities and exclusivity, have some real tutorials or something in the subforums.

As for all these groups that actually think they are doing something... For example: Game Changers. Supposedly only people that changed the marketplace, but who the fuck are all these people in it? And who the fuck is the coleader? That group is an embarrassment now. Was actually good when it was being run by knowledgeable people.



I'd like to see just one group add some exclusivity, some awards, competitions, tutorials, GROUP ACTIVITIES. Just act like a group not a userbar to throw around.
Sure the amount of groups brings down value, but how it's run brings down it's meaning of owning one. If you disagree then you must be new and haven't seen how it used to be. Or you are just one of these ignorant people.
 
I completely agree @"Plague". But, to my understanding, most of these group owners are kids  who haven't seen what a real group should be like.

There needs to be a role model for people to follow, and people will follow.

Of course they're children. It gives them a sense of power owning a group on an internet forum because they don't have any IRL lol.

I completely agree with you. It gives them that "I own a group=God" feeling. 
 
I agree, most of the groups are fucking AIDS. There some random who just buys groups for the UB, not gonna tag him lol
 
There's to many groups it's boring..

Like you can get in one for like $5, whereas on like HF although HF is shit, you have to pay like $100 to buy in, and buy a group for like $2k+..

Yep, I like groups that are more "exclusive" not the ones where you can buy in for 10$ and a hotdog,
Like on HF groups go for over 5k, and buy ins are usually over 100$(Nightfall is only 50$ though)
 
I completely agree with your point.

A forum of this size should really have limits on things like awards and groups. Also, I feel like the reason there is no success within groups is because of the lack of heritage. It would have been nice to see the return of groups like: Archangels, Envious and Noble.

groups on HF are $10k lol.. but i dont think HF is shit. you must not be an active user
 
Funny, you're criticizing others for being wrong, while you're quite off yourself. The reason groups are unsuccessfully, is because of the members' mentalities in combination with the number of groups. Any attempt at running an actual group is shrugged off as silly, because they just want a userbar, which is much easier to attain by going to one of the 20 shitty groups that adds everyone and their grandparents. However, any argument on this subject is useless. It's not going to change.
 

False, if effort was put in by the leaders then there wouldn't be kids just wanting a UB in it. All it takes is one person to change the outcome of the world. So shouldn't be too hard to change a couple things on here. Let the shitty groups be shitty and have only 1 or 2 good groups that put forth effort. As long as there are a few people going towards the same goal then it shouldn't matter.

I've put quite a lot of effort into my group.  @"gr33d", @Jimmy , and I put a fuck load of effort into Immortals for years.  Nope.
Leaders don't make a good group, members do.  No one is willing to put forth any effort whatsoever.
 
I'm in game changers and I don't know 90% of the people in there and what they did. It's become a friends group is what it seems no actual "game changers" really.

Shouts out to knights of templar. All these forum groups are basically shit. Harmony actually has an active subforum and has shit to do. Relatively new so nothing really yet but I actually see it going somewhere.
 
So far the groups I've been in have done nothing, thought I had to work my way up to the groups the actually did something. Guess I'm wrong.
 
lol i used to feel the same way about groups, but i don't really care anymore.

I'm tired of useless, helpless, self absorbed people becoming staff. If you can't take 14 seconds out of your busy cornucopia of a schedule to do a simple request for a user:

1.) You should be removed from "Award Granter" Staff.
2.) You shouldn't have been accepted into the hilarious sounding job title in the first place.

I'd much rather have someone who will go the extra mile to help users. Especially when 'said staff' has 1 responsibility/permission.

They are not in charge of merging posts, junking posts, banning users, giving out warnings, temp bans, cleaning up the forums, etc.

The 1 duty is fucking granting missing awards... And in the odd chance that you want to be 0.0006 ounces of help; Delete requested awards by the occasional member(s).

I literally have like 3 awards I need removed. Not 48 awards. I removed as many as I could without your help.

I don't care if it's overkill and annoying with my copious notifications. It would've taken you 4.2 minutes out of your night. What makes me most annoyed is the whole ignoring my messages and mentions. Instead of telling me to fuck off and you don't want to help me.
