TightVNC cant connect to my server?

i set up rsbuddy and java and everything on my vps, but when i go to connect to it with tightvnc, it says it failed to connect to the server?

anyone know whats wrong?

Did you set up vnc-server on the server?
Did you start the service and stop it by vncserver -kill :1?
Did you restart the server and not start the vncserver again?
Did you connect to the right IP with the right port? (IP:1)

oh ok thanks it worked.. i have another problem though now haha.
