Thoughts on the deep web?

So I've been reading up lately on "The deep web" and for those of you who don't know what this is, simply google it. It was brought upon my attention earlier by someone (I forget who lol) but a thread from 2012 had a tutorial on how to access it. I don't want to talk about accessing it really, I'd just like to know your stories if you have visited it or frequently visit it. I have never visited it and don't plan on it, but I have watched other people go onto it. It actually freaks me out lol, so what are your takes on this deep dark place?
 
I am the person that bumped that thread up so you guys could see it. Also as long as you stay away from the CP you'll be fine.

Yeah I noticed there's even twitter links that take you to cp... It's weird. Thanks for the bump actually it informed me a lot I never even knew about the place.
 
Personally I believe the hitmen are the best thing about it (next to the pot of course) but if you stay on it for a whole you'll unfortunately discover that there are no legit hitmen in the deep web (unless you look REALLY hard, and I mean REALLY) and even then,it's meh. After a while of using the deep web you'll discover it's overrated.

That's the point of TOR, if you click the link when your not on TOR nothing will happen.
 
Yeah it was fascinating to see people go through all the stuff being sold for bitcoin and the prices on it. And @Shift yeah I figured that out eventually the whole thing was based off tor.

I recommend watching youtube videos first of tours and such sort to get a feel before clicking around randomly, if you really wanna go on it. That's just my opinion.

Yeah, I mean there are some useful things, like the emails. I now have Apostle@sagaint.net or something like that which is pretty sweet. Since the FBI cracked Silk Road I feel uncomfortable going on the Deep Web though.
 
Like 3 years ago my brother used TOR Browser to go on Facebook at school (it was blocked) and within minutes of loggin in to his FB on there it got hacked lol. It's too sketchy of a place

What kind of 12 year old access the deep web, that's like a horrible influence. Imagine a 12 year old accidently finding CP.
