Honestly all this trusted bullshit needs to stop. Its funny how in almost every scam report the person who scammed usually has high rep and said he was "trusted". In reality these "Trusted" people are usually kids ranging for 13-18.

Definition-
a : assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something
b : one in which confidence is placed

In a nutshell if you cant comprehend- its your personal belief in someone to follow through.

Ex. Doctor was trusted - scammer
Finland was trusted- scammer
just to name two. And if you want more go on HF where people will scam you then have other vouch and say they're legit.
Another prime example is on HF - Sandshrew
Because he was "Trusted" he basically ripped many people off and stole money. And made a fool of himself.

If you want to deal use a MM, phyber, brenton, philly, christy, or any other MOD who knows how to secure accounts and make the deal painless.
if the other person is trying to rush you , or won't use a MM he's a scammer. Common sense should tell you that. Im honestly tired of seeing scam reports stop being a dumbass and think for yourself and don't listen to someone just because they're "Trusted".

I kinda do.Instead of relying on other peoples word on another person being trusted, just use a middleman instead of you being susceptible to getting scammed. Usually scamming is caused by people being impatient.

I haven't even heard that he was a scammer. And who the hell is phyber?

Also most of the trusted members here are older than 18 because they aren't stupid and scam. Most of them have been in this business for awhile and have their shit together. They are also mature and not 12. I consider myself trusted. I am also older than most people on FK and think that scamming is stupid. That's basically stealing from people. And would any of these scammers really steal something from someone in real life? Probably not because they are pussies.
 
There are simple steps to not get scammed:
1. Use a "trusted" MM.
2. Get a second opinion on the deal. Chances are you are clouded by the fact that it is an amazing deal to even notice you are going to get scammed.
3. Don't deal over the Internet because chances are you will get scammed at least once.
4. DO NOT DEAL WITH WITH KIDS WHO ARE "FRIENDS" WITH KNOWN SCAMMERS! CHANCES ARE HE/SHE IS ACTUALLY THE SCAMMER!
5. Don't deal with sketchy ass ninjas!

Phyber is the only "trusted" MM on HF I think :p, I don't mess with that site though
 
I agree, there is no reason why you shouldn't use a middleman because not using one just highly increases the risk of getting scammed.

I joined back in August but was banned in October. I was unbanned yesterday, that's why you wouldn't know me.
 
This thread speaks my mind lol. With that whole Dreams problem just because they are "trusted" don't mean shit. And rep is a small pivotal role in deals, but if you have negatives like me it shouldn't affect it
