Well Since my birthday is coming up soon I was thinking of getting laser eye surgery done

I'm talking about this - http://www.lasikmd.com

Its $490 a eye
And obviuosly I'm almost blind in both my eyes so Ill be getting them both done

So its totaled up to $980 to make my eyes 20/20

What have you guys heard of this and Is this a good idea Just give me some facts that you know

My brother was saying You have to wear eye patches for two weeks after the surgery
Any thing I hear from him I just assume is bull shit so yea

Please tell me if you know any thing about laser eye surgery

At the moment Sitting 15 feet away From a 47 inch tv screen and I'm playing xbox and I cant even see the people in my party chat
Now If I move it to 6 feet or so I can read that but I cant read smaller print
What I'm getting at is I'm blind as fuck and yea

My mom got it done and it works wonders. Your brother was telling the truth. But you only need them for like a couple days then you just need to wear these special glasses and rest them every now and then. it also hurts your eyes for a bit.

Yea They are some special sunglasses That protect your eyes better or somthing I was reading about that on the site
Make sure to wear the provided sunglasses (in your LASIK MD bag). Regular sunglasses do not provide adequate protection.

And its going to suck really bad not seeing any thing for a few days...
And yea it says you need to keep protecting your eyes for a week up to 1 month

Does you mom have 20/20 vision btw? does it really fix it like it says?

She said it did mostly, but she has to wear glasses when driving and stuff in the night and when she reads things that are really far away

I talked to a guy who wore glasses, and wanted to become a pilot. Then got laser eye surgery, and now he's 20/20, and is now becoming a pilot.

He told us it didn't even hurt.

Yea Watched it from the other thread

They say they do tests before hand To see if your eyes are good enough to do the surgery on
I would guess that 95% of people just had bad surgeons OR were not suppos to get the surgery but did any way
Idk Ill think about that a bit more

Bumping this Does any other people have any thing to say?
-Only bumped it because I posted in the middle of night when all the lurkers are on-

I did it,they ruined my left eye. Now I'm blind,I can only see with one. Do it on your own risk bro!

Troll somewhere else god I don't want it here
This is serious matter

I am serious. Who the fuck do you think I am?

It doesn't make you blind in just one eye
If any thing happens you go blurry and star eyed
You don't just lose sight because of the surgery

My Grandfather got it done, and now he never wears his glasses unless he is paying bills. He said it doesn't even hurt, but I remember him complaining about the glasses they give you for a couple days.

I feel you, my eyes suck so much.. I can't see peoples faces from like 20 feet away, its mad annoying when I hear someone call my name but don't know who the fuck they are

@[Justin]
Yea That sounds great
And yea My dad would complain aswell if he had to wear sunglasses 24/7 =P

@[Method]
Yea Same
If I get this done and it works and It goes all well Ill tell my brother and dad to do it
Because they were both looking into getting it done but yea
Hate having blurry vision and No being able to see like back in the day..
I blame it on TV and video games I play all day

You should get it, having glasses would be annoying.

Welcome to the club. I have a very bad right eye. If I had a choice i'd totally do this. I basically have a shit load of astigmatism (if thats right, used spelling check xD) in my right eye. I can't even see past the first line on that eyesight test chart with just my right eye. My left eye can see down near half way. XD

Though I sit like 1 foot away from a 42" tv all day, so I probably should blame myself. I have glasses but they bother me :/

Yea Xzile I broke my glasses a long while ago And I really don't like wearing glasses or Contact lenses

I don't like glasses because they bug me. Migraines like a mofo... oh my god lol, and with me if i get a migraine, i get sick. No questions about that.

I tried contacts, but they gave me hard contacts because soft ones wouldn't help me (so they said). Hard contacts ride low, and my eyes are VEEEEERRRY sensitive. It took me a week to even be able to touch my eyes barely. Nearly blinded myself the fist time i tried to get them in, so they were out of the question.

Is laser eye surgery dangerous?
Any possibilities of anything going wrong and hurting your eyesight even more?
Also, I have a hard time keeping my eyes open to bright lights like that, how would it work if that is a problem?
(just answer what you think you may know )

K first Ill start with your questions

Yea I found some people like rarely Get blurry and star eyed But thats really rare
They say Its not a bright light ITs just a Cool laser that touchs your eyes and you don't feel a thing All you have to do is keep your eyes open for a little bit witch isn't hard
