The tagging function

To all those people complaining that the @ Sign is useless and we should get rid of it is not thinking straight.


@ Represent the word "At", if we just had the "Quotations" around the name every time someone referred to something else and it is someones name it would Hyperlink it to someone's profile. We are a growing community and words are being used for names.


The @ is directing the text to the specific person you are linking to.

So for example if I put

@"Dykerosoft" I love you.
I'm talking directly to Dykerosoft an telling him I love him.


So, for people who think we should get rid of the "@" infront of the name. I strongly disagree with you.

It shows who you are typing to, and not referring to something.

No but, if The Elite makes a notification thing, then we will know if we are tagged in someone posts.

I STRONGLY disagree.
The "@" looks sloppy and just clashes with the whole tag in my opinion.
I tend to make some very high quality threads and if I wanted to give credits to someone in a thread or mention them or something, I don't want the "@" there.

If the "@" is removed, it could simply be typed in.
Where as if we want to remove it, there is no way unless we make it look like shit.

EXAMPLE: Dang,@"PedoBear" is cool.

To me, removing the "@" via means of using "[/ color]" just makes it look bad.
