The reason weed isn't publicly legalized.

I've been thinking of how much people smoke weed and sell illegally, and I thought about why they wouldn't legalize it because it's better than cigarettes.
I myself have never smoked.
You might hate me for this but I think that weed SHOULDN'T be legalized and here's why:

- There are children around at all times, it's not healthy for them.
- Addiction
- Other things you've already heard

But this is why I thought they haven't legalized it...
Because it's cheating, weed is way way expensive, there will be more millionaires which will cause prices to rise, it's like the Wall Street issue, people are becoming rich unfairly, same with selling weed. Also if weed is legalized and more people sell the prices of weed will go down and other items like gas will rise, also because of cheap weed more people will abuse it.

You can smoke illegally but I highly doubt it will be legalized anytime soon.

Keep doing what you're doing, as long as you don't get caught.

i dont understand what you mean how its unhealthy for children?? like its no worse than tobacco for children really is it? and also i think the government would struggle to make money off it like they do cigarettes. they could sell it but people could easily just grow it themselves, whereas people cant grow and make their own tobacco cigarettes - so the government can tax them and make money off them. weed would be different and the government wouldn't be able to make enough money. personally i do smoke weed and do think it should be legal.

Cigarettes and weed are both bad for children I never said that cigarettes were good for children.

1. Marijuana is not addictive. You can only get mentally addicted to it , which you can be mentally addicted to anything (Ex : Food, Gaming, Basically Anything.)
2. Marijuana smoke is healthier than most things that children are around these days ( Ex: Cigs, Violence )

What all these guys have said is basically my opinion. Syllabuhl summed it up nicely. Although Im not sure they could tax weed like they can cigarettes as Ive said before. They can tax cigarettes because its not something people can grow themselves. If they legalised it, they couldnt tax it because people dont need to go through the government - they could still grow it themselves. Unless they legalised the smoking of it but not the growing.
