So i checked the Upgrade page and noticed that they're coming out with a new type of Upgrade that'll be replacing RG Elite as of August 1st. Members who have purchased RG Elite before then will get 50% off forever. Now im debating since the new private forum came out to upgrade, but im sort of broke right now or else i'd already be a Sponsor how dedicated i am (Surprisingly) to a forum. Just wanting your opinions, do you think i should Upgrade now? Or wait until the new Upgrade comes out? Thanks!
 
If you spend 5 dollars now to get RuneGear Elite you will save approximately $2.50 after 3 months with $2.50(each month) compounding on those savings from there on out.
 
Upgrade now, so that when you feel the need to pay, you're only paying a small amount.

Im not a normal member though. This is the first forum that i actually have bookmarked, wake up and click it and check it for updates almost like an addiction. I'd like to be a dedicated member rather than a normal member and i'd like the respect of my community as well. Not being thought of as a leecher or anything.

Still deciding on if i should or not. Anyone else got some suggestions?

Pink is not all that cool...I bought sponsor because i thought i should take advantage of the 50% off...I see no difference...
 
It's up to you.. I'd say yes because there's going to be competition on a monthly basis for upgraded members.. So if you do it now you'd be better saving $.250 a month, if you want to of course..
 
So wait, to understand this furthermore, will the new Upgrade be a Once time, Lifetime Upgrade payment? or is it a monthly payment for an upgrade?
 
Once the updates for membership are complete, 'Premium' will replace 'RG Elite'.

To upgrade to Premium it will cost $5 a month.
People who have paid for RG Elite will receive a 50% lifetime discount on any user upgrades, meaning instead of paying $5 a month for Premium, you will only pay $2.50 a month.

You're better off buying it now while you can.
 
I think sponsors should receive one month of premium for free. :>
 
Hm, I assumed that Sponsors would retain their rank.. Are you sure that Premium is the ONLY rank we'll have? I don't like the thought of having to continuously pay for the rank that we bought before, under the impression it would be a one time payment, and that's that. :-/

I really dont want to have to pay a monthly payment.. Honestly? We pay our dues for what we want on the site, this isn't RuneScape where we pay monthly just to have access to better stuff. I'd like it to stay just one payment and you're an RG Elite, Premium, Whatever forever. Furthermore; If Sponsor's get removed then that's completely unfair and should result in somewhat of a refund or reward due to paying a lot extra.

P.S. I also would NOT like there to be only "Premium" ranks. I like the option's and varieties. PAYING MONTHLY IS SHIT.
 

Not sure 100%, but if this is case I fully agree, and I bet many others do too.
 
My post was in regards to RG Elite. I could be wrong but (I'm guessing) the general concept is the same.
Sponsors I'm sure will be reimbursed one way or another.
 
Sponsors will not be removed and will benefit from the same discount RG Elite members get. The RG Elite will not be accepting new members and will be replaced with Premium Membership. All current RG Elite members will stay the same unless they decide to upgrade.

You don't have to pay to access the forum, but for features which cost a lot of money each month we have to have a return. There will be non-premium competitions, but the prizes will be nothing like the Premium members competitions.

There also will be private premium members forums.
 

Thats not the point. We're the ones providing you with the money just to have access to a certain forum or a certain giveaway, those are nice and all.. but YOU aren't the one paying MONTHLY for these. I was well ready to settle and get either RG Elite And/Or Sponsor knowing it was lifetime and I'd have it for good. Also, What are you.. trying to welcome more leechers? Theres more of a chance of a leecher paying a mere $2.50 or $5 however you want to price it per month than paying a SET price due to the fact that the amount is higher, so the thought process of "will i be around for a long period of time" will raise. Not to mention, are we now paying MORE to have better access to a community some of us call home? Don't get me wrong because im not an RG Elite or Sponsor, But i could have EASILY and have been going through this thought process for a while and when i finally came down to the decision, this bomb is dropped. Not liking this update. Sorry. Lifetime > Monthly many will agree.

EDIT - So it's also now going to take 1 payment for the wrong person to leech out the stuff to other people or other forums since it's now cheaper and MONTHLY? They can easily stop the payment and move on after stealing everything from your "private" forum.

EDITX2 - Also, Sorry i am going off topic with this, but the idea's of how dumb this is sounding is pouring into my mind as we speak.
