So I have finally narrowed down my laptop decision to the 13 inch MacBook Pro. The decision I have now is retina or no retina O.O Is it worth spending the extra $500 for a better graphics experience and a lighter/thinner feel? Please help me out by leaving your comments below
Some of the arguments that I have come across already are that with the non retina you are able to open up the computer and change various components such as ram, graphics card etc.. With the retina pro everything is soldered onto the mother board and is one large I removable piece

Yes, the retina display is way worth it. The display looks so much more crisp than the regular Pro.

If I were to buy a MacBook I would get the retina display.

My sister's MacBook has the retina display and she says that it's definitely worth the extra money.

I agree. It is definitely worth the extra money. Every time it walk into the Apple Store, the Retina MacBooks always stand out.

Just my personal preference.

I hope you don't plan on gaming with this thing lol.

Yeah. Macs aren't meant for gaming. Besides the Mac Pro. But the new Macs that are coming out will definitely be great for gaming.

Also most games don't work for Mac. Unless you install Windows. Then you would be able to play games.

Even still, it'd be far more worth it(in my opinion anyway), to spend that $1500 on a custom build where you'd get far more bang for your buck.

I agree. Buying a build would be a better idea. Macs can't compare to a custom rig.

Exactly. This is the build I got for the same price as the cheapest 13in Mac Book Pro($1500).

That's a pretty good build.

If I were you I would have gotten a better GPU. Though you can't ever go wrong with Nvidia.

Also I don't know much about AMD processors but I heard they are stepping up their game. They are starting to compare to Intel.

Yeah my sister has one with retina and she really likes it and when people ask her about it thats what she always tells them.

I wouldn't go with AMD as a CPU, just my two cents worth.

Is there any particular reason?

I've had numerous AMD's and all have failed and plus you can get a lot more performance out of Intel's
