So the North American release date for TERA Online is coming up on May 1st..
Anyone here going to be playing it?

Never heard of TERA.
By just looking at some screenshots it seems like WoW.
I won't play it ._.

yeah it looks like WoW in a few ways. It has way better graphics though, and the combat system is action based. You have to aim where your attacks land and different combos unlock specific special attacks. The action based combat is what may lead me to trying it out. I've watched a lot of videos on it and the combat seems fun.

Looks a lot better than WoW as far as graphics. The action based combat is the only thing that really makes me want to try it out though.
 
A few more videos I've been watching. I've been watching videos and reading reviews during my breaks at work. Trying to see everything before I even think about paying $15/mo to play. The action-style combat system seems really fun. It makes it so that players don't just need good armor/weps and stats to do good. You actually have to have skill, know how your combos work, and be good at aiming the attacks. I'm a PvP head, and I'm not really sure right now how TERA's PvP will be yet... But I have to admit, it looks fun.

I agree. I don't see the point in doing that.
I just finished the download, so I'll be trying it out on May 1st.
Maybe I'll see you in-game on the 3rd. I'll be on the server Frost Reach with a few friends.
 
Hey guys,

So just a random update on this.. I actually purchased TERA Online and have been playing it. The action style combat integrated into an MMO is really fun and unique. I would encourage you guys to try it out as well.
