Tenure Question

Ok so, I don't really understand tenure. Someone please answer my question.

So I get that tenure is how long you have had your account, but say you made a silver account 10 years ago, and never put live on it till this year, would the tenure be 10? Like on your xbox, would it have the 10 next to your gamertag? And say if you have had a gold account for 2 years, but it goes to silver, and you get gold again for it, 2 years later. Would it be a 2 tenure (with the number 2 next to your gt) or a 4 tenure (with the number 4 next to your gt)

Your tenure will only go up if it has a gold membership once its reverted to silver it will not continue to go up. In some cases people say if you leave an account on silver for so long and you had lets say a 4 year tenure and you leave it on silver for a year the tenure will reset (So people say never happened to me).

You HAVE to have Gold on the account for 365 days to get a 1 on your profile.
if you made the email a long ass time ago.. that doesnt matter. i have tested that.
