Is it intentionall in this tagging system that if someone can't be tagged it doesnt show up as a hyper link/ If i'm honest I really preffered the old style.

I think that is what happens: they don't show up in the tag.

If someone doesn't want to be tagged, it won't tag them.

It should still link them, but not show up with a PM in their Inbox.

It's pointless,I liked the old style because of the color of the name etc.

I like the tag system
When your talking to people or multiple people you can keep track with the conversations
I personally like it and use it and I see others use it because I get tagged aswell
Its useful But users should have a option in their settings not to be tagged

i quite liked the old style where it was @"Name" and it would show there "group" and have a hyperlink.. but maybe add the ability to send a pm if your tagged to that old system, that would be grate

Ya I liked the old style where it showed the username color etc. But I also like the PM feature
