Instead of getting new on/off/locked section icons.
Just remove them altogether and re-do the ficons.

Very very very tempted to do this. Very tempted. Very very tempted. Last time I think people wanted it to stay, but we do have the "Your threads", "Your Posts" and "View New Posts | View Today's Posts" options at the top.
 
It makes the forum seem cleaner as well, also, decreasing the size of the ficons would be good as well.

I think it requires a edit of how the table is set up.
So it'll need shrinking etc. The placement of where the ficons are will need changing.
I think more than just removing will need doing, but I could be wrong.

But yeah, I'm all for this

Nice one Lewis. Also you need to remove the icons at the bottom of the forum as well.
 
I only ever look at posts through the "View New Posts" anyway, so getting rid of the icons wouldn't be noticed by me, lol.

Good idea though.
 
Yeah, he will. I'll make a start tonight, have an exam tomorrow, and I'm out with the gf on Friday.
