I think we should change it to something else. There are alot of situations where the tagging system is inconvenient..

say Someone is selling the instagram 'Random'

they'd say "selling the ig @random" and I'd get an alert. I see Countless tags that are mean't to just be twitters & ig's

Suggestions:
~Random
+Random
^Random
or something for tagging. please.

Just please change it to something that's not WIDELY used in the marketplace for other things, thanks.
thank you

If you're displeased with the tagging system, all you need to do is change it to "IG: Random." I highly doubt this is going to happen.

I'm aware. However, I highly doubt that @Philly will implement this. It's barely even an issue.

Even if it doesn't happen, I like the idea.

Not a huge deal but I hate seeing the name crossed out if it just happens to be the same as a banned member's username. Not even an issue really. Just bugs me.

Or we could require users use quotations when tagging a user instead of simply putting @username. This would allow users to post their Twitter, Instagram, and other social media accounts that correspond with a user's username on Forum Korner without alerting that particular user.

Here's what would happen if I add quotations:

Here's what would happen if I don't add quotations:
