Account of the Month is a contest held by Rune Gear to showcase the wide array of Runscape Accounts owned by members of Rune Gear. Contestants simply post a picture of them with their account in Lumbridge. They must be doing the following:

This months contest is sponsored by @"Jonathan".

Doing an emoticon - Preferably Dance/Skill cape (if applicable).
Have the text in their textbox/said aloud: "RuneGear.net - 2011 May AoTM!"
Show all their skills - none covered.
Cover the username.

Once you have a screenshot of your account, reply to this post with the image and a paragraph of 20 words or more stating why you believe your account should win.

Winners
All winners will be decided by the Forum Team and Management. There will be three winners.

First place:
16M RSGP +
Award

Second place:
5M RSGP

Third place:
RG Elite (If RG Elite - 4M)

The contests works like this. After the thread is posted, there are nominations and applicants for 13-14 days. Once the nominations are over, voting will begin for the next 7 days. The winner will be announced on the 29th of that month. Then, it will be repeated. New contests usually begin on the 7th of the month prior to the contest month.

For example: Thread posted 7th of May- Applications/Nominations end on the 20th of May. 29th of May - Winner announced.
Next contest thread posted 7th of June - continues.

If a member wins, they can not win until 2 months have passed. Let the nominations begin!

I think I deserve AoTM because I just got 2 99's within 3 weeks, one of which being one of the longest 99 skill to get. Also just got my first rare since 2005.

I've been playing since 2002 and I recently lost most of my cash and items due to a real life friend screwing me over. The gold I win would help me buy gear for my frost dragon accounts to get back to where I was.

I love the way that I get muted on runescape for saying "VB.net" while you all say "Runegear.net" and have no issues.

I believe I should become May's Account of the Month because, frankly, you don't see many of my kind of account get this far. Most owners start to bail out at much lower levels. I know I'm not as high total level as all these mains, but you have to realize I have four stats that are level 1 or 2. I believe my account stands out from these past accounts because it is something different; a good different in my opinion.

I think I deserve to win in this AoTM contest because I have worked very hard and diligently in making my account to what it is today. I have NEVER EVER botted on this account and I won't, ever. I just got 99 Dung and 100 Dung in the past 5 days and I'm pretty happy about that. If you compare this to the last time it has improved quite a lot actually. But, nevertheless, good luck to everyone and I would like to thank @"Jonathan" for sponsoring this contest.

I put my account in the last contest but I came nowhere close to even winning :/. I hope I can win, then The Elite has an extra 25m for the next contest because I won't take donations or rewards .

No, I actually went into the Dungeon and helped people . It's called "leeching". You can learn about it on Google if you want to do it on a skiller.
