Will your Xbox account with all your gamerscore etc be transferred to the 720 when it comes out? Or will you have to make a new one?

Also when you sign up, is it best to put your age over 18? Or should I just put my real one in?

Thanks :)

Definitely put your age over 18, as for the 720 thing I have no idea.

Thanks, and btw;

is $80 good for a 20gb white console? Pre-owned obviously.

Seems good, but your going to have to drop probably another $50 on a wireless thing unless you aren't using wireless.

Wireless thing lol? What wireless thing?

Ahhh, wireless adapter sorry. I couldn't think of the name.

Ah ok thanks.

And these are essential I take it? I'm seeing a couple of different models come up in google. Are they all compatible with every 360 model?

Yep, I'm sure they are. It's not essential if you connect via Ethenet Cord

Ok, thanks.

I'll just need to get the adapter then as I'd need to get a 40+ft extension cable running through my house :p

haha, yeah i'd just go with the adapter man.

If you are spending 80 on the old arcade white Xbox I would invest another $120 which would be 200$ for the Slim it comes with the built in Wireless adapter and its all brand new no issues etc. By time you get everything you will need to get up and running you will spend around that much anyways. The 200$ slim comes with 4GB only but if you have a thumb drive etc you can format it and use that as a hard drive. That is just my 2 cents haha.

LOL :p

Is it a security risk if it's not turned on properly?

Well some xbox's get the "rings of death" which are red rings that light up ( there supposed to be green ) it usually over heated or some thing. But yeah when they turn on the xbox and it's not green, don't buy it.

Is there any way to fix it at all?

I'm just worried if I buy a cheap pre-owned one it'll die on me and I don't have warranty on it.

If you are spending $80 on a Old white arcade i would just go buy a preowned slim from game stop ($120) and it comes with a 1 year warranty now (just recently started offering this like the day after i bought mine)

Yeah, some people say wrap a towell around it for a few days but I highly doubt that works, but there are people on craigslist that will fix these somehow . I live in a big city so there is a lot of people that can do it, hopefully you do to. If you don't have warranty it will cost $100 I believe for a new xbox from xbox..

but really don't worry about it happening.

Ok, thanks! :)

I might check that offer out then Slacker, that seems good. At least I can feel a bit more relieved.

I think there are some shops in town that offer cheap repairs so I can always check them out just in case!
