Some idea's for people looking to boost the activity!

Hello guys,

So there has been much talk about boosting the activity and I have a few solutions I have been using lately.

So the first one is to make threads that are questions.

A example would be these

http://www.runegear.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=64435

You see, with this when they read it they really want to answer the post as it allows them to talk about them self. more people will reply to these types of post's and it overall boosts activity as people will stay on runegear for longer and maybe create some posts of there own.

Second is to refer , I am aware there is tons of talk of this but it really isn't that hard. I meet people all the time on runescape just doing normal everyday stuff. I refer them to runegear some of then have joined, some of them haven't. Referring members doesn't always mean to put in a ton of effort and paying for advertising campaigns out of your own pocket it could be as simple as just setting runegear to your signature on another forums you're on.

Lastly is to be nice to members, why would any new member want to stay on a forums where everyone is mean to one another when they can go to a normal acting forums where people get along. I mean it really isn't that hard to be nice to new members as most of them have not done anything wrong (yet :evil_invert. I know I am not the biggest follower of this rule, but I try to follow it when I can.

Let's not start a flame thread here. We're all trying to be nice, right. The question threads are really entertaining to make, so if you haven't made one, do so now!

I am aware of this and I stated this in the thread. I try to be nice but sometimes thing's get out of hand and the flame war eventually dies off. If I start one flame war within the next week notify me and I will personally post my full dox.

Very basic tips that practically everyone who has been on this forum for a year has tried.
Good attempt at getting more activity though.
