Why do some members have an asterisk next to their username?



Adam, Entitled, Rct3gold, Scenery... And those are just a few of them.

What does the * next to their username mean?

Pretty sure they are people that are appearing invisible.
Could be wrong though.

that is odd. chewy or oxide would probably know.

I just did a very simple test. I went to "edit options" in my user control panel and I checked the option that says "Hide me from the Whos Online list."

I checked my name at the bottom of the page (or side) and it did indeed have an asterisk next to my name.

I went back and unchecked it (as I normally have it), and the asterisk was gone.

I guess the asterisk isn't big enough for their name to hide behind. lol

Probably if your an upgraded member you can see who is hiding.:ninja:

I will test this out now as well.

EDIT:

You are correct.

Conclusion: Asterisk by name means they are hidden from the Who's Online list to people that aren't upgraded members or higher.
