Okay so back in October I came across the ig name @occasions and kept it for a month, at the end of that month I got a comment asking if they could buy it for $250USD. Now I'm no idiot but this was obviously a scam, so what I went ahead and did was mock the guy, calling him out. However later I found out that it was the CEO of occasions magazine, I quickly smartened up making a deal with the guy, haggling (I went for $350 and we met on the middle) and I ended up with $300USD which translates to $370NZD over here. Now keep in mind this is a name being given away that nobody wanted, I got told I was never going to get anything for it or make any profit. Also I'm 13 *shrug* I think I might work in the financial field from now on...

It was the name of his company, like would streets pay $25 for the name @streets

If you did, wouldn't the CEOS be using it... Or could of trademarked...

lol $350 isn't even that much, companies have bought usernames for 1k+ in the past

What happened is that a idiot purchased your IG and wasted $300 no offence. If he owns a valid business he simply could of trade marked it.
 
You're balling, I havent done this like 50 times.
 
I sold the Twitter handle @Ragamuffin for $200.00 to a pet store owner back in 2012. I still have full access to the Twitter handle. The password was never changed. I don't know what happened to the gal that purchased it.

Dude calm down, it's a fucking joke. Even if I did, do you actually think I would be stupid enough to base my entire life after one day of getting money? I realise I got lucky, but it's still entirely possible that I've been planning on working in the financial field for a while, that or chemistry..

First of all I don't really care what he does with it, if he wants to save it for something else that's fine by me, but I don't really think I'd lie about making money, what's the point of that?
