I don't think that's going to work well with custom usergroups. Considering there may be 'Graphic' groups, 'Developer' groups, etc.

That wasn't something I was actually working on. I was giving an idea, but as Uzi said, it would be harder for groups to make their userbars more unique.

If you save the psd with the controller as a different layer, the user could swap it out for anything else ex. a paint brush.

I'm all up for seeing some new badges, but the ones posted here aren't very better.. Copying the forum template isn't always the best thing to do, but sticking with it's colors is still a good idea.
