Yesterday my Mom forced me to go "antiquing" with her and I ended up buying an authentic "World War II West Wall Nazi War Medal". It commended them for their work at the battle at Westwall or "Siegfried Line". The battle in this confusing, heavily forested area claimed the lives of 24,000 American troops plus 9,000 non-battle casualties. The German Death toll is undocumented but is estimated to have been around 20,000. On the back of the Medal it says "Für Arbeit zum Schutze Deutschlands" which translates to English as "For Work for the Protection of Defense of Germany". I just thought it would be cool to share this awesome find with you guys.
I myself picked something up very similar in this antique roadhouse shop it was $50 and I will get a picture of it if you would like. It is brass and has the swastika cut out in it with adolf hitler written below and what appears to be blood stains on the back.
