Slow USB Transfer Rate

When I transfer from my computer to my external HD or vice versa, I get a very decent speed. However, any transfer going or coming from my Kingston 2GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive takes really long. It wasn't always like that.

Any idea why it began going so slow recently? I've been using the same port for as long as I can remember. The only change I can think of having made is changing the Flash Drive's format type from NTSC to FAT32 in order to read media files on my Xbox 360.

Any help is appreciated.



 
I have the same issue. I just think its the components and quality of product. A lot of USB Flash Drives are cheaply made and can't handle very fast transfer rates where as the external hard drive are made better.

In that case, what USB Flash Drive make do you guarantee will transfer the fastest? Money is of no concern.
 
The ones that have higher capacity. I had a Patriot 16gb that would reach 25/30 mb/s .. I got it on newegg.. Unfortunately mine broke by being smashed in my backpack =/ ... Has good durability but the only downside is it has a cap that protects the usb module and if you loose the cap you run the risk of it breaking easily. It comes in a rubberized case and with the cap on you can chuck it at a wall as hard as you can and it will survive.
