Am I able to create a new skype account with a username? Every time I try to join it makes me use an email address as my alias.

I honestly don't think you can, i believe you either have to recover one of your old accounts that had/has a username or you can probably just buy one.

Only saying this because i've tried, i just ended up switching to an old skype.
