Skipping School

So this year I'm a senior in high school. I am sorta tired if school already. I have skipped over 30 times and that's more than I ever skipped all of my HS years in total. It's crazy how I have missed so much school. I'm failing some classes and I'm fucked. I haven't yet applied to college though I should have. I'm not even sure if I can get into a college cause my grades for junior year were horrible. I had like a 2.8 GPA. But anyways idk what to do know. I really need to kick it in gear but I can't seem to do it. I'm just so tired of school and I'm slacking. Any advice from the OLDER guys?

Thanks

Get your ass into gear bro. Right now you're looking at a community college, and that can really suck. This is the rest of your life you're risking here... are you gonna spend it making $15k a year or $50k+?

The school I go to only requires a 2.5 GPA (not sure what the ACT/SAT reqs are)... and it's a private Catholic college. If you keep working at it, you can still get into a good college.

Just remember... this is the rest of your fucking life you're screwing with there by skipping.

Thanks bro I really appreciate the support. I hope I can get my GPA up cause its really bad. But idk if I can fix it anymore cause I don't think colleges will look at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter grades.

As I said, my college, a private Catholic college that doesn't just let anyone in, has the minimum req. of a 2.5. You had that, you can probably get it back up. If not, public universities are generally pretty loose about GPAs. Just don't let it get too low man. You don't want to suffer community college or no college at all.

Thanks bro again man. You guys are the best

Why would you skip? You are a senior and you are fucking everything up just because you don"t feel like going. Really? The worst thing is that you skip school to be on Forum Korner. Forum Korner is not going to help you at all in life but an education is :-/

yea man get your head straight. now a days just a simple diploma will barely get you a job at a local mc Ds.. thankfully my job was through a family member. previous to that i had 6 months of no scores on jobs. but my plans have always been on being an Officer so when im 21 (19 now) hopefully I get into the academy

Get your life in order, attend school, get good grades, graduate, attend college, get good grades, graduate, get a career, get a family, retire, live happily ever after.

You should start picking up your act go to school more often; don't fuck up

Get your life together, go to school, and bring that GPA Up Good luck

P.s. I have missed a lot this year as well :/

Only day you should ever skip is Senior Skip Day

I'm going through the almost same exact thing right now. It sucks man. I want to be successful but sometimes it seems impossible.

I have a 2.7 gpa and got accepted to a 4 year.. Just take it slow and goto a 2 year first since you can get into one

Thanks for the support you guys. I really appreciate the help. Hopefully I can take your advice and learn from it. Thanks again.

I've personally never skipped school, but all I have to say is... STAY IN SCHOOL KIDS!

Remember, it's your education, no one can force you to go to school. Just remember, your future depends on it. Maybe the following chart will change your mind. After all, finishing this last year can earn you on average $7,000 more than someone that did not graduate high school.
