Should young people save for retirement?

I am currently 24 years old and am thinking about starting a retirement fund. Do you think that this is too early? Do you think that young people should save for retirement? why or why not?
 
It never hurts to start saving. Even if you can't save too much each month, every little bit helps. Don't think you're too young, even if it's 50 bucks a month it doesn't hurt to start saving as much as you can
 
No, it's not early. Savings don't have any 'early'. It's very positive that you are thinking about your future at this young age.

yeah your right men..even i..a 3rd year college student is starting to earn some money for my future
 
It's really good that you start saving at this point of time. People forgot those things and they just spend their money unwisely. It's a wise decision that you start at this age and you just prove that your looking forward for your future. Good luck!
 
Saving something is always good. Especially money ! It'll be your good and bright future if you have much money ! You won't go to work hard more and you have the best condition to improve your health. May be it's not soon if you think about saving for a retirement now. Congrats mate !
 
It's never too early to start saving money for your future. The earlier, the better. Personally my purpose is to become enough rich to not have to think about all these things.

Haha, I also think like that. I will study hard to get a good job, to get rich. Then, I don't have to worry about saving up or anything. When I look at people worrying about theier mortgage and everything, I feel sad for them. Hopefully, I will not have to worry because I will get a good job and becomoe rich.
 
It is not bad to save up at an early age. But of course dont deprive yourself from things that you need to buy. Enjoy life while you're young, study hard,and for sure when you get a good job,you will be able to save more.
 
its not necessary that the money is useful only after your retirement, sometime you may need emergency fund, and the saved amount could be useful at that moment..So the idea of saving since early age is the best.
 
You can save more if you started savings in young ages...I am at thirty and investing nice amount every month in mutual funds as long term investment...
 
One thing that I am only saving up for is to buy my apparels and other necessary stuffs that is related to my needs.The rest of the money that is left with me.That will be going to my saving funds where I really will not touch it unless it is for emergency purposes :D Then again if we are rich there is no point in saving up also.Money keeps coming in :)
 
yes it is really good to save for older age. At that time too you will need money and your savings will help you. there is nothing wrong for young to save retirement funds.
 
No, I need money at the moment too, haven't got nothing for savings. But soon, when I'll get older then I will save up some money for retirement, but I'm pretty sure that I go to job too when I'm at 70 ages or something, smthing easy ...
 
I think young peopple should enjoy life a little just to go out and have fun with friends not save money for retirement because they just started working and this is the time to have fun and enjoy life.
