Definitely yes!!. This must be pursued to the schools though sometimes schools get some feedbacks from the students. We respect teachers but sometimes they are just using their profession to gain without even thinking that they have to plant the knowledge to their pupils. They must know the student's feedback about them sor improvement.
We call it Teacher's Evaluation where at the end of the semester or the school year. Teachers are graded respectively by the administrators, other teachers and students. It is the determinant of the teacher's performance of the school either to retain him/her in the said school or to be advised to transfer to another school. If the teacher gets an "US" grade or "unsatisfactory" then that would be the time for the teacher to prepare himself/herself.
I think they should, but their names should be anonymous of course. This will serve as the teachers evaluation and improvement rating. So that teachers will know in what aspect they are not effective in teaching. This will also motivate teachers to teach better and have a more acceptable attitude. This will help to voice out students complaints against a teacher.
back when i'm in highschool, once a year, we do assessment for the teachers, we do are allowed to rate them according to some categories, and have the chance to give our comments about them. but it is anonymous, the teacher won't know who writes about him/her.
in our school, students are allowed to grade their professors based on the teacher's performance. i think this is a good thing since the school is able to determine whether the teachers are working and they are really teaching the students. also, in the point of view of the student, this can be a way to take revenge from their profs. hehe ^_^
I think it is a good idea to grade teachers by the students, who could make good assesment of them. Moreover if they are value based teaching in the schools, then students would be the best judge for that and make right analysis.
Teachers can be observed and be assessed by their students in order to identify their effectiveness in teaching. In order to maintain the quality of education, there should be the most qualified teacher in a certain university or school. I know that some private schools are practicing this kind of filtration in their newly hired instructor or professor to make them regular in teaching. But I don't know if they are still doing it quarterly or yearly. From the university I studied with, I experienced to assess my instructor.
No, becouse teachers can't grade there students based on personality.
If students can grade the teacher, they'll all grade them bases on how he treaths them.
