So a few weeks back I had to put down my other dog because she got old and couldn't walk anymore. I was depressed about for a while and still kinda am. Im considering adopting a new dog. Is this something I should really do though? I had my last dog for 15 years and she meant everything to me. I'm asking you guys because I trust you guys and I am just looking for an input. Do you guys think getting a new dog will help me get out of this depression I'm having? Or will it make it worse? I don't wanna feel like I'm replacing my other dog...

You aren't replacing your old dog, she will always be there in memories bro... You aren't replacing her, you are just bringing another one within the family... My german shepherd died at 13 a year ago, and we bought a new puppy within the next week, and now the puppy of 8 weeks is 3 years old... I suggest you do buy a new dog, it'll help you
It will make it worst. I lost my dog last year due to an accident with animal control they apparently "misunderstood the action" he was defending me cause some man was trying to steal my money. I had him since I was a baby, i went into deep depression didnt want to eat nor drink, didnt talk to anybody, i was just like no point of qalking on this earth without my best friend. I thought I could get another one just like him. So I got another dog and it ran away and I just thought the dog I had will never be replaced. So yeah it makes it worst
