Are you penny-wise or pound-foolish? In this day and age, many of us live beyond our means. We spend frivolously when we could be cutting costs by simply shopping smarter. Do you know the techniques to save here and there?

First thing if I go to the mall, I ask myself a hundred times if the thing I am about to buy is worth the penny. I shop because I need it. I need to have the stuff because its part of the commodity - e.g. food. I don't shop because I want it though there are times but I become an impulsive buyer (but really rare). I also use coupons especially if I go to restaurants with freebies. I also use bonus cards (advantage cards where I could earn points and redeem it later or have the points deducted from the items the next time I shop). I also watch out for sales at the end of the month or any promotions!
