Sending money through paypal

So I wanted to send someone money as a gift to buy something. The thing is I don't have the money in my paypal, can I still send it out today and have the person receive the money today if I wanted to? Normally when I buy from eBay I don't have the money in my account but it pulls it from my bank. Does it work similarly with 'gifting' someone? thanks in advanced

Well when u gift it's taking money out of the Paypal balance / cc or bank. But u need to have the money somewhere.

honestly I asked this question because I want that YT of yours. I have the money in my bank but not in my actual paypal ..
