Hi swaggers!

I know this young pretty girl. She's so sweet and so entertaining. She loves going around with people a lot and she loves making people feel comfortable. But one day, I just noticed a really huge change in her. (We are not really close)

She just started to always look serious. She avoids people. I always see her in meetings. Usually, she would love to talk after such meetings. But now, she leaves as soon as possible and is always hiding. She should be 3rd year high school now.

I thought she's just undergoing some emotional changes as part of puberty. But her mom told us what happened. She's not studying anymore. She was kicked out of school (why???). I can definitely tell you she's not a bad girl. Her mom said it's because of her classmates who hurt her (details I don't know). She's so traumatized that she always avoids people. She just don't want to be around with people. Good her sisters and brothers are so supportive and they are always trying to understand her. Her sister who lives in US wanted to take her there together with their mom and dad so that she can start her life again there.

What do you think of this guys? Do you think it's safe to be in school? HOw do you protect your children?

I've been through to this. I can say that I am not young as her but still bullied by my classmates. I was transferee that time. I came from Manila and I'd never done stupid things like others but still they were very bad to me. I had so much experiences that made me feel to stop studying. These people must be kicked out of the school and not that girl you know. She should face them and keep herself stronger than before. I was very quiet since they bullied me and now realizing those moments, i would really want to talk to them and face them but it's too late. I hope she can recover her positive attitude immediately. It sometimes takes time before taking everything back. I hope she'll keep her self esteem higher. :)

A school experience will never be complete without bullies, or experiences of being bullied around. The thing is we should notify the right authorities in school about these people who wants to make other people's lives miserable. The mother should have reported it to the principal too. But I guess something grave happened to her that's why she really doesn't want to go to school anymore. However about your question if school is not a good place, I say it is. We should just be careful and learn to survive. Because most of the time we learn things the hard way.

Well, school is very informative place, every students experiences all the basic things in school.
Yes school is a safe place and that based on the story it should be taken action through counseling the student by then she can have good and strong faith that being in school is a must. All she need is just counseling in order for her to normalized everything she experienced in school.
