schizophrenic friend

alright so my friend is in 6th grade
she is schizophrenic, she shes things like

for those who don't know
schizophrenia: is a mental disorder that makes it hard to:
Tell the difference between what is real and not real.


a girl named jill old pale ghost like,
her hair is long but is sticking up like if she was upside down.
and where her eyeballs are she says there's just blood dripping out.

obviously i believe her cause shes schizophrenic and all that medication
and stuff for that but that's not what im worried about.

lately she's been cutting her upper right of her arm like near the shoulder, and theyre slighty deep cuts too. pretty deep for a 6th grader.
she says that "jill & others" scream at her to do it.

i don't know how i can help in anyway cause schizophrenia is a really
confusing disease to me, also i can't tell her mom/sister
cause i don't want her ending up in a mental hospital for 6 months or so and
i don't want her to hate me for it even it if i do seek attention for her. so how can i get her to stop cutting.​

I think i would tell someone who's an adult and talk it out with them, someone who won't blab and knows her but not so well she'll get in 'trouble'.

Also, I don't know much about schizophrenia but I don't know if she'd be sent to a mental hospital anyway? I don't know.

well i'm only friends with her because her sister is in my class ( i'm a freshman in highschool )

no her dad is apparently abusive or w.e from what i've heard and i know her mom if i told her she'd be taken to a mental hospital for sure.

You should strongly consider contacting a counselor for her. And her parents, they deserve to know what's going on too.
