Samsung confirmed strong quarterly results for its mobile division and claimed the coveted top spot in the smartphone market, even though it is likely to lose that again to Apple in the current holiday quarter. In Q2, Nokia was finally knocked off its market lead by both Apple and Samsung, with the iPhone maker narrowly beating its rival to the laurels.

They may have started making phones is 1980, but that doesn't give them any experience with Android or smartphones in general. Apple has decided to no longer buy parts from Samsung. Apple can very well afford their own plants. It's cheaper, and smarter to just buy the parts instead. Where do you think Samsung gets their parts? Same as everyone else, Foxconn. Anonymous won't do anything to Apple. some anons are just mad that they can't afford a mac.

Samsung actually manufacture some of their parts that we are discussing.
EG their LCD panels, they manufacture them, use them in their own phones and sell the panels.

Sony buy their LCD screens from Samsung
Sony and Samsung actually have a 50:50 deal going on with the SAMSUNG crystal valley project.

No they are Samsung, but Samsung and Sony share the manufacturing facility as just mentioned, so they will be practically the same.

They may share the same facility, but that doesn't mean that they're using the same product. Samsung and other Android devices usually use Gorilla glass as the display, and the iPhone does not.
