I'm pointing out that grammar and spelling are two different things. I never said that he has made any mistakes, and I don't feel like looking through his posts.

Example from what I said earlier,

McLovin got the award like a few weeks ago and doesn't keep up with his grammar/spelling.
 
Being granted this award, isn't up to any of us. If an Admin feels that Salvation has respectively earned the award, he will be granted. That award is exclusive, as it should be. If he keeps up this flawless grammar for a few more months, maybe he'll be recognized.

OT: A lot of people deserve this award. It just isn't handed out that much. Why? I don't know.
 
I know plenty of other people that deserve this. That doesn't mean we should all make threads saying it. I myself think I have pretty good grammar as well. Also, you aren't allowed to request this certain award. Philly or Christy has to notice it, which is nearly impossible.

This isn't just about spelling, using punctuation is what gets you this the most probably.

I disagree with this. Punctuation is not grammar at all, but merely a writing convention like orthography. Linguists consider grammar to be an attribute of the spoken language. Considering the following, how would punctuation get you the "Grammar Nazi" award?

Your own source just backed up my statement.

Not exactly. Punctuation is a relatively late set of signs introduced to make written language easier to understand. There is no punctuation in spoken language ( unless you're Victor Borge!) but there is plenty of grammar in it.

The written language is an attempt to record the spoken language. If there is no punctuation in spoken language, it is only there (in written language) to assist comprehension.
