Runescape lags on my browser, but works fine on other clients.

Well, I use Opera and it lags a ton, so I decide to try swiftkit and RSbot. Both of them work flawlessly and have 0 lag. So I'm confused as to what it is that's making me lag.

Try google chrome. Or like Chewbaka said, download SwiftKit or the Runescape downloadable client.

Use a different Internet browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome.

Tried that already, all of them lag pretty badly. RSbot is the most lag-free.

I use firefox and every 5 seconds if freezes for about 2~ seconds.

It's really weird, because it only happens on browser (and i NEVER play on browser, just tried today)

I think it's because there are two programs (in my case,) firefox.exe and java.exe which are both running therefore firefox is running the java therefore using more CPU than normal sharing it out between the two therefore causing less priority to java.exe making it laggy.

IDK. My theory anyway...

Have you tried changing your graphic settings to low and the screen to fixed? It worked for me on reducing lag.

I find it lags for me in my browser, which is Chrome. I haven't used the downloadable client in a while. I need to give that a try..

if you want to perhaps make it a little faster, go to your process list in task messenger (ctrl+shift+esc) and then scroll down to the process of your browser that you're using and right click on it go to priority and set it to high priority which may help speed up your game depending on how good your processor is.. it worked for me
