tl;dr Jagex sued and the Snellmans counter sued asking for a public apology on the RS homepage, didn't work out.
Jagex sued for a 6 figure amount (probably $999,999) and the Snellmans can't play or interact with any Jagex related games or else they'd suffer another lawsuit.
Basically Jagex was slandering their business and they sued on those grounds.
They actually had a well built case. They just couldn't afford to keep the fight up.

Well, if you've purchased auths then your PayPal contact information is in their hands. So if they wanted to be extreme they could ban you just because they're douches. Also, if you were apart of RSCA/RSbots.net then they also have that information aswell, well I'm postive about RSCA and not so sure about rsbots.
