Does Jagex judge whether or not someone is botting by first getting reports from other members and then looking, or what?

Anyone have any idea?

What I've found:

Reports = randoms

Randoms = more chance to fail randoms

Fail randoms = more randoms

More failed randoms = ban.

Well, a report of macroeing or botting brings a red flag to a player, they will then monitor the behaviour and activity of that member.

Also if they have suspicion of botting by one of the following
- excesive play time 2 days+
- exact same mouse pattern movement.

If they have a report on a player they will monitor them, they sill first look at the time they've been online, and track its mouse moving. Many bots now have anti-ban features such as;
- human like mouse movement
- break times to implement a real person.

If jagex has high suspicion it's a bot, they will roll them back, but of an appeal accurs they might aprove it because they know it's a real person. Many things will trigger jagex to roll back/ ban botters but those are the most highly.

24/7ed my main for 5 days straight two times in a row, umad? (10 days non-stop with a 5 hours break)

As I said, those are the things that bring SUSPICION of botting, if your reported and you have a play time of 2 days+ their going to be suspicious, maybe even a roll back may occur.

You got to remember, there are millions of botters and so little j mods.

If they were smart, they'd go get someone like perfectious and pay them to stop coding scrips that bot and start coding ones that catch botters.

GG botters, I mean it. 99% of them would be banned

Jagex don't tend to even look at players unless there IS a report.

Pleasseeee lol Fagex barely ever bans people anymore, botting is close to legal now cause they make so much money of it.

Jagex doesn't really ban the p2p botters only the f2p ones. Most bots usually get a roll back (if p2p) or a short ban like 10 days.

If Jagex really wanted to they could ban so many botters. Think of it. Make a random that simply asks a question, ex:
"What color is a red apple"
And update 3 questions, every day. Do you think the bot developpers will catch up to that?

Fact is, Jagex WANTS the botters to stay.

No, I think bot developers could keep up. May be down for 10-20 minutes per day.

No, because it would require the developers to get 3 randoms a day, and each one being a different question. That is, of course, not considering the other 20+ random events.

Yeah, but over 2000 people are botting with there bots.

Ohhh shiiii---

That would obviously reduce time to use a bot but the developers would be able to update it because people would let them use their accounts that are in the random.

But that would require people to lend over their accounts. Every day. In chance of getting the new random, which will be changed in a day, fixed.

It would most definitely not be able to stop ALL the botters, but would reduce the amount, drastically.

Or the fact randoms aren't a fucking trivia. It's like a miniquest except it's all for fun. They can use them on botters but it's not bullshit like that

Calm the fuck down you idiot, I was just pointing out that Jagex can lower the number of botters a lot. Randoms aren't fun for anybody either way, so you can keep your mouth shut.
