Ridiculed due to age

Every time someone asks me my age online, I answer the same question countless times with the same answer, '15'. What I get after my answer is also the same, "You're such a liar, you're not 15!"

Every time that I get that reply, I just ignore it and move on. They think that because of my success online I must be some 18+ year old that does this for an income or has went to University, whereas I do this as a hobby. Little do they know is every time I get called a liar for my age, it is a compliment.

Does anyone else ever get ridiculed due to their age or get called a liar or another rude and inappropriate comment?

Ahahha, dude, I'm 17, but some of my friends are surprised. I guess 17 is "old" for being on the internet, most people are used to 15-16 I believe. Although we have much older then that on HF.

Not really, I'm 19, so I'm "expected" to be mature I suppose. I do feel quite a bit older sometimes on certain forums, just because it's so blatantly obvious that it's populated with 14-16 year old immature trolls.
