Reputation (Astral's Thoughts)

I know many have touched the topic, but I thought I would put my two sense in, as recently some moronic actions have taken place. Reputation, in my opinion anyways, is for people who you feel are a well deserving individual, for whatever reason that may be. Reputation however has been serving another purpose for others lately (Well, actual for awhile now), which is benefiting themselves. I've noticed quite a bit lately that people have been deleting reputation on you that hasn't been returned. I've spoken to a few members about this, and we chuckle to the fact that people are this pathetic, that if we don't give them their "Return-Rep" that we can expect it to vanish from our profile. Yes, I Know who some of the prime suspects are, but they shall remain nameless. Believe me or not, I'm actually quite apathetic about the whole situation. I'm just dumbfounded at the fact that if I don't return reputation, I can expect it to be gone, Lol.
What are your thoughts on the matter?

People after rep system is disabled: Why was it disabled, rep was the biggest part of the site. BRING IT BACK!!!

I'm not saying that the reputation system should be deleted, not at all. I'm simply giving my feedback on what's been happening to me and other members lately. But I see what you mean with that response.

In May/April the rep system was disabled because of the same reason ( rep4rep, complaining about neg ). When it was disabled people complained about it being gone when before they asked for it.

Same thing happened with custom group colors lol but that still hasn't came back. First couple weeks removed people complaining when they wanted it deleted...
